The following grading syllabus is designed to guide the student through a continuous development from Gokyu to Ikkyu. In addition to the techniques that follow, the student is expected to present the following, at each grading:
• Katate dori tai-no-henko
• Morote dori kokyu ho
• Suwari waza kokyu dosa
The student is also expected to be able to demonstrate any techniques from previous grades.

2nd Dan (BLACK BELT)

You need the same as for 1st Dan in Taijutsu. The difference is you must look sharper than those taking 1st Dan. The content is the same.

The weapons are the same as above plus 31 Kumi Jo and the five Kumi tachi.

Test time is between thirty and sixty minutes.
